ProfileDr. Wan is an academic with a background in fluid mechanics. He earned his bachelor's degree from the School of Aeronautics at Northwestern Polytechnical University in July 2008 and subsequently obtained his doctorate in fluid mechanics from the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC) in November 2013. His academic journey continued at USTC, where from December 2013 to December 2023, he held positions as a postdoctoral fellow, assistant professor, and associate professor. Dr. Wan expanded his expertise through a visiting research period with the Physics of Fluids group at the University of Twente in the Netherlands from 2017 to 2018. Since 2023, Dr. Wan has been serving as a professor at USTC, focusing primarily on aerodynamic noise simulation and control, compressible turbulence, and thermal turbulence. His scholarly contributions extend to being a principal investigator for four projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) and participation in three additional NSFC projects. Dr. Wan's research findings have been disseminated through over 90 peer-reviewed papers, including 22 in Journal of Fluid Mechanics (JFM). Recognized for his expertise, he now plays an active role as a reviewer for JFM, Physical Review Letters (PRL), and several other reputable journals. Personal Information
